Beck, Robert Smith, The Swell Season Pay Tribute to John Martyn

Late British singer-songwriter John Martyn passed away last January before he could finish his latest album, Willing to Work. News surfaced that Martyn’s friends and producers Gary Pollitt and Jim Tullio are finishing the album for release sometime soon; Martyn’s official website has also released a partial tracklisting for a tribute album featuring several awesome artists rehashing Martyn songs that is shaping up.

Twenty-two artists have confirmed their contribution to the album, among them Robert Smith of The Cure, Devendra Banhart, Snow Patrol, Beck and The Swell Season. No information on a release date or whether more artists will be pledging contributions has been given yet.
